By accessing or sign up for AventureBox site, you agree to the use of your personal information in accordance with the terms set forth in this policy. The AventureBox recognize and value your right to privacy and therefore created this Privacy Policy, which governs, the collects and the use of personal information through the site.

General Information

AventureBox is a multiplatform system developed to cultivate the outdoor lifestyle in a sustainable and inclusive way. We constantly develop technologies so that practitioners of activities in nature can: explore and find information about new destinations, create a network of followers and register their adventures and posts. We also offer services so that companies and organizations in the outdoor segment can efficiently bring their products and services closer to their consumers.

The AventureBox platform is public and has a worldwide reach on the internet. All your publications on the platform will be immediately available and searchable to anyone around the world. Please only share personal information and content that you are comfortable making publicly available on the internet.

At AventureBox we believe that you should always have control and transparency of the data we collect and how it is used and maintained by the system. We are constantly improving our policies to ensure the privacy of our users and to comply with international data protection laws including the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Brazilian Personal Data Protection Act (Portuguese: LGPD).

How We Use Your Information

To improve our services and get to know our audience better, we collect information provided by your request to the AventureBox system such as your language, browser, IP and operational system. This data, as well as the navigation history in the system are used to provide the best experience on the platform, how to use your navigation language and the best interface configuration. This information also helps us to diagnose problems with our server, administer the system and generate usage statistics for both registered users and visitors. Statistical navigation data is saved by the system anonymously for your privacy.

When you register with AventureBox you will provide us with some information such as name, email, gender, date of birth and a password.

The name of your personal account or page will be public, choose the best name you want people to identify you with on AventureBox and feel comfortable sharing it with.

Your email will not be publicly available and will also not be provided to third parties. We will use it to send information about your account on the platform, news from AventureBox, changes in terms of use and privacy policies, notifications about your profile or pages and advertising from sponsors and advertisers who fund our services and allow us to maintain free services for platform members. Your email will be used so that you can access your account on the system.

Your gender will not be public information for your account, and filling in is optional. If you provide this information, it will be used to improve the suggestions of products and services of our advertisers, in addition to helping us to better know our audience to offer better services.

Your date of birth will not be public information on the platform, it will also be used to improve the suggestions of products and services of our advertisers, in addition to helping us to know our audience better to offer better services.

Your password is personal information that will allow access to the system. It is of great importance to maintain the security of your account, choose a strong password and change it whenever suspicious activity happens in your account.

Registered users have the option of providing more data to create their public profile or to create pages on the AventureBox, such as Photo (avatar), Location, Bio and Website. This information about your profile allows other users to know more about you. All of this information will be public as well as your Name and will be available worldwide on the internet.

When registering in the system, a unique username will be created on the platform, this name is automatically generated based on the name provided by you at the time of registration, but can be changed according to your preference. The username is used for your AventureBox url address, for example: aventurebox.com/yourname, in addition to providing a unique identification of your account in the system. This username is public and allows people to find their profile on AventureBox.

When registering in the system, AventureBox will try to identify, based on your connection information, more data for configuring your account such as: country, language and time zone, this data is used by AventureBox to identify your audience and adapt the system for its best use such as languages, dates, times and announcements of products and services of the system. This information will not be public.

When sending any content, such as: images; text; structured data; links; tracklogs; videos; modalities, or any other data provided to AventureBox, about your adventures, materials, profile or comments, these will be publicly accessible. Make sure that the contents provided are in accordance with our Terms of Use, respect the law and mainly do not infringe copyright.

All of this registration information, public profile and account settings can be changed by you at any time in the system settings menu.

When publishing an adventure or story record in the AventureBox you can include the modalities related to the publication. These publications will also be available on the specific pages of each modality. However, if the AventureBox moderators identify that they have been added incorrectly, the modalities may be removed or changed to an appropriate modality for better organization of the records on the platform. Moderators will also be able to include the modalities when they are not defined for a publication, as long as it is identifiable in the registry.

In the adventure logs, other users can add you as participants in an adventure. To be allowed to add a participant the two involved must follow each other. A notification will be sent by the system whenever any participation is added, if you want to hide the participation from the profile or remove the participation, this action can be performed in the corresponding adventure menu.

Information about your adventure, stories and profiles such as number of Rox, number of publications, number of adventures, number of stories, total sessions of adventures and stories, comments, number of sessions in each adventure and story, followers and profiles you follow are public information and will be available to everyone on the internet.

Our Cookies

We use cookies to provide, improve, protect, and promote our services. Cookies help us to remember your language, identify your access in your next visit, besides that, to better understand how you interact with our services. You can setup your browser stop accepting cookies, but, the site may have its functionality limited by that.

Use of Collected Information

In general the AventureBox use the information collected for the following purposes:

Optimize the use and interactive experience of the user navigation on the site;
Develop general statistics to make decisions about the AventureBox strategy;
Communicate with users in order to give them information about the company, products, services, and promotions;
Improve our services.

We will not sell or share your email or personal data to third parties. We may disclose your information to third parties if we determine that disclosure is necessary to: comply with the law; prevent fraud; or protect property rights.

Data Storage

The information you provided us or we collect, will be stored in our servers located in New York - USA

To improve the performance of the platform, some static files such as photos and tracklogs can be replicated on other servers around the world through Google's Content Delivery Network (CDN) service, but will no longer be available in a reasonable time if you remove it from your posts or profile.

The contents, profiles, and other public information sent to the AventureBox can be indexed by internet search engines to allow other people to find your publications. However, when removing information from the AventureBox, these search engines can take a reasonable amount of time to remove the information from its cache.

When you deactivate your account, your profile and content for adventures and published materials will no longer be available for public access, however, we will keep your data in a controlled and secure environment for 30 days on our servers until they are completely removed. If you want to reactivate your account, just log back into AventureBox with your access data within this period.

Change to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the policy will govern our use of your information and will always be at https://aventurebox.com/privacy. If we make a change to this policy we will notify you via email to the email address associated with your account.

By continuing to access or use the services after those changes, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy. Otherwise you should deactivate your account or apply for permanent deletion of your data and should not use the site.

Language

The language of the original version of this agreement is Brazilian Portuguese (pt-br). In case of conflict of any translated version of this document, according to the original version, the latter one will prevail.
