A TRILHA DA VIDA (Brasil, 2020) - Dir. Emanuel Silveira

ALTAITUDE (Belgium, 2018) - Dir. Dominique Snyers

Sinopse: Everything is bigger in the Altai, the mountainous frontier between Mongolia, China, and Russia. This is what Damian and Dom discover there, skiing the high summits for three weeks and enduring early spring storms.

Opening up to the vastness, they must overcome their differences and learn to survive together, totally isolated at their high-altitude base camp - a tiny yurt in an expansive terrain of snow.

Once liberated from the modern electronic appendages, Damien, 19 years old, immediately enters into resonance with the Altai Mountains of the Tavan Bogd, the Five Saints. He is the one opening the door to the sacred dimension of the place and to the interaction that its inhabitants nurture with them.

French dialogues subtitled in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, German, Russian, Italian.

Together they chat on an exciting and naked story about nature, our fragility, overcoming difficulties, risk, passion, loyalty to oneself, commitment, solidarity, team strength, death and the pursuit of happiness…taking the risk of living.

ARTE E OFÍCIO NA LUA - O DESAFIO (Brasil, 2021) - Dir.

BAATO (USA, 2020) - Dir. Kate Stryker & Lucas Millard

Sinopse: A family in remote eastern Nepal collects medicinal herbs, before making an annual 300-kilometer trek, partly on foot and partly by ramshackle bus, to lowland, urban markets. The extension of a road to and through their remote village is fitfully underway, promising less walking and perhaps a less arduous life in some distant future. Road engineers take bribes to avoid destroying homes, while laborers produce gravel — breaking individual stones by hand with hammers. The herb collectors plot to avoid shakedowns by police and bus operators as they miraculously make their way to market. This observant film is a deep dive into a Himalayan culture in a slow and chaotic, yet inexorable transition; it plays like a classic observational study rather than a polemic on the perils of modernization. Those perils can’t help being front-of-mind, however, producing a pervading sense of empathy.

BLINDFOLD (Spain, 2019) - Dir. Daniel Fernández - Cañadas

Sinopse: When he was 8 years old, Jon Santacana was diagnosed with a degenerative disease that, little by little, left him without sight. Against all odds, and pushing his body to the limit, Jon has become one of history’s best skiers: 2 gold medals and 4 silver ones in the Paralympic Games. In his epic adventure to beat all competition records at over 120 km/h, with barely no sight, Miguel Galindo has accompanied him during his brilliant 17-year career. Miguel has been a faithful companion and has been his guide both on and off the slopes, accompanying him in this bromance that transcends myths of overcoming obstacles, sacrifice and sportsmanship, and talks about things that stop being visible but are the most important of all.

CAMBOTA'S DREAM (Brasil, 2021) - Dir.

CASTELO ABANDONADO (Brasil, 2020) - Felipe Carrelli

CAVERNA DE MAYA (Brasil, 2020) - Dir.

CHANGABANG AND THE MIRRORS OF A REPETITION (France, 2019) - Dir. Jean-Pierre Tauvron

Sinopse: In spite of its modest altitude (6,864 m), the summit of Changabang, in the Indian Himalaya, has seen few visitors but has already been the scene of far too many dramas. The three alpinists from the French High Mountain Military Group had only a very short weather window during which they could attempt to conquer this thousand meter vertical wall. Their adventure provides the opportunity to explore questions about what pushes humans to face the dangers and maledictions of a mountain.

CONNECTION (Czech Republic, 2020) - Dir. Jan Zurek

Sinopse: Eight girls from France, The Czech Republic and Canada decide to rig half a kilometer long highline between two iconic rock towers in the Moab desert in Utah. They spend five days on the towers and not only they connect these towers with a thin strap, which they then walk on, but they also find a connection with the sky, The Earth and each other.

EL MAGO GEORGES (Hungary/Argentina, 2020) - Dir. Katalin Egely

Sinopse: We aren't only created with free will, but also with responsibility. The responsibility to listen to our gut feelings, follow our intuition, the wise part of us. According to the old definition, a magician is a wise person. So we can all be magicians if we are brave enough.

EVEREST - THE HARD WAY (Slovakia, 2020) - Dir. Pavol Barabas

Sinopse: Is it possible to climb the hardest route on Mount Everest in Alpine style? Chris Bonington, the most famous British climber, named this route The Hard Way and stated it is impossible. It became a challenge for four Slovak climbers. In 1988 they started their hardest way with no escape.

L'ESCALADE LIBÉRÉE /FREED CLIMB (France, 2020) - Dir. Benoit REGORD

Sinopse: Antoine Le Menestrel, former high level climber, tells us with sincerity and sensitivity, his story at the cliff of Buoux, France and his vision of climbing today.
From his discovery of Buoux being very young with his brother and his parents, he will discover this cliff and the work of opening up routes.
A part of the history of climbing is written here in Buoux, notably with the "Parisian band" of which he is part and the first 8A.
Antoine also tells us about his state of mind at that time, his questions about the meaning of life, of his life.
He goes back in routes like “Rêve de papillon”, “La rose des sables” or even “La rose et le vampire” to guide us.
At 55, he expresses his climbing, as a freed climbing. Freed from the constraints linked to the ethics of climbing, this ethics of which he was himself the missionary when he was younger.
Learn to love the path, and not the goal, take care of your body and share the climb.
A sensitive and aesthetic documentary, which shows climbing from another angle.

LOIC AND THE FLOLOPAPYS (Belgium, 2019) - Dir. Dominique Snyers

Loic and the Flolopapys invite you to embark on a very human adventure.

► (France, 2019) - Dir. Antoine Girard/Damien Lacaze

Sinopse: Summer 2018. The 1500 km epic biv Flight of Damien LACAZE and Antoine GIRARD in the core of Himalaya and Karakorum mountains. This journey is actually a prelude and acclimatization to climb the Spantik (7027 m) from the nearest city in two days, thanks to paragliding. Is it really achievable ? What are the limits of such an ascent ? Can we really come back unscathed ?

MARUMBI: A MONTANHA POR DENTRO (Brasil, 2021) - Dir. Matias Dala Stella

MENDIAN HIL HIRIAN HIL (Spain, 2020) - Dir. Iñaki Peña

SLABDUCATION (Spain, 2019) - Dir. Talo Martín

Sinopse: Slab climbing coaching for pro-climbers

SPELLBOUND (New Zealand, 2020) - Dir. Richard Sidey

Sinopse: Wingsuit BASE jumping is often presented as a thrill seeking adrenaline rush. Spellbound takes us deeper into the more contemplative aspects of jumping, as David Walden and friends venture into the mountains around his home in New Zealand.

Beautiful scenery and hypnotic cinematography eject us from our daily lives into a world of air, earth and flight.

THE STORY OF PLASTIC (USA, 2019) Dir.- Deia Scholsberg

Sinopse: THE STORY OF PLASTIC is a searing expose, uncovering the ugly truth behind plastic pollution and the false solution of plastic recycling. Different from every other plastic documentary you’ve seen, THE STORY OF PLASTIC presents a cohesive timeline of how we got to our current global plastic pollution crisis and how the oil and gas industry has successfully manipulated the narrative around it. From the extraction of fossil fuels and plastic disposal to the global resistance fighting back, THE STORY OF PLASTIC is a life changing film depicting one of the world's most pressing environmental issues.

THE TEARS OF SHIVA (Spain, 2020) - Dir. Mikel Sarasola

Sinopse: Change is part and parcel of development and Nepal is undergoing a major transformation. Using water resources to generate energy is one of its pillars for the future, even if this means paying too high a price. Four kayakers set out to descend the fierce waters of the Karnali, as part of an expedition to one of the country's most remote and extreme rivers, with the intention of learning and enjoying the hidden secrets of this sacred river, before the lack of human consciousness destroys them forever.

THEN COMES THE EVENING (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2019) - Dir. Maja Novaković

Sinopse: Set amid the remote hills of Eastern Bosnia, THEN COMES THE EVENING provides a quiet meditation on the seemingly uncomplicated pastoral lives of two women. Through simple and precise composition with attention to light and texture, the mundane details of their lives are rendered with the tactile richness of an oil painting. Their every action and word is infused with ceremony, ritual, and intangible cultural heritage in this intimate yet epic examination of how nature and humanity interact.

Sinopse: Rock climbing photography is thought to be a completely different specialty.
It's about a photographer who can't get any light behind a nice rock climbing picture.
It was designed to think about the process of entering the rock climbing picture and the meaning of the rock climbing picture based on the pictures and videos he took as an amateur.
