The best time to go to the GR20 trek is late June and early September, when the weather is mild and the trail is less crowded than in July or August.
The following table shows Corsica's minimum and maximum temperatures during the year.
You can sleep in a Mountain hut (refuge) or in a bivouac in facilities established on the trail. Sleeping in tent nearby the refuges is possible, but along the trail it is not permitted.
It is possible to take meals in all the GR20 shelters, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But you may wish to do the GR20 in total autonomy, in this case you can transport and cook your own meals.
